Beauty and the Badge (Charlotte's Cove #1)Beauty and the Badge by Ella Fox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Cranky Stars

“I knew you’d be something, babe. Didn’t realize that something was trouble.” That line sums up the whirlwind relationship between Tyler and Ashley. It’s beautiful, it’s sweet and it’s naughty.

Ashley always visited Charlotte’s Cove with her grandparents, and she wanted to set down permanent roots there instead she’s slaving away in L.A. working for a social media influencer who was the absolute worse. Think Miranda from the Devil Wears Prada but make it more evil. Ashley is big on affirmations and manifesting your fate. So when she has a life altering event take place she manifests the heck out her destiny and goes back to the cove. She settles into her grandparent’s house that was left to her and gets a job at the police station as a receptionist she feels she is finally able to slow down and breathe. Then Tyler walks in and she knows truly that believing in manifest destiny is for her. She asked for happiness and she asked for finding the one and destiny is like here you go.

Tyler is the town of Charlotte’s Cove police chief. He was a cop in Seattle and decided to pull of stakes and move to a small town. He just wanted to slow down a bit and really enjoy his life. His best friend Ben comes along for the ride. Life is good and while he did make a mistake that will eventually come back to bite him in the butt he can say for once he feels at peace. When his current receptionist decides to quit he hires a new woman sight unseen. What he wasn’t expecting is Ashley. He can’t stop looking at her and decides rules are for losers and pursues her with a passion. He thinks Ashley should be treated like the lady she is. She rocks his world and seriously who can turn down a hot cop with a husky named Boo?

This book was so sweet. The only real drama was the skank Rita. She was the drama in this book. One big walking trash talking name calling drama. She was horrible to Ashley in school and she is horrible now. Also be aware this book will have your Kindle streaming so I hope it’s the waterproof model. When these two collide it’s fireworks. Who knew little miss had a naughty side. This book would be awesome for someone who loves almost but not quite insta love, steamy rolls between the sheets and seeing bullies get put in their place.
