My rating: 5 of 5 stars
5 Cranky Stars
I don’t even know where to start. I purchased this book for the cover alone. It was beautiful and simple. The story lurking between the covers was a wild ride. One that was much needed.
Brynn was dealing with a tragic loss. Just going through the motions and not really truly living. Having lost her fiancé to senseless violence when she finally opens a box with his possessions she decides a trip to bury his items on the mountain he loved so much. It’s here she becomes the victim of a senseless tragedy herself and it’s when Cassidy Porter swoops in to save her. He is mysterious but has such a loving heart.
Cassidy has lived off the grid since he was 9. Cassidy is the son of a prolific serial killer and he fears the same evil runs through his veins. He lives a quiet life away from the public eye just tending to the land and his chickens. When he sees a beautiful woman walking on a hiking trail he decides to follow her but not in a creepy way. This pays off when he hears her terrifying screams and stumbles upon a violent act. He finds Brynn and decides to nurse her back to health despite all his warnings.
I swear this book!! THIS BOOK!! It had me on this path of love and wanting Cass to just jump in with both feet to being thrown for a loop. It was a unique story with a twist I never saw coming. Just read it and you’ll thank me!!
