New Review! Wicked Soul (Ancient Blood #1) by Nora Ash 4 Cranky Stars

Wicked Soul (Ancient Blood, #1)Wicked Soul by Nora Ash
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 Cranky Stars

A union between a human and an ancient immortal is bound for disaster but Warin and Liv are connected in some way. While trying to deny their feelings there is a more sinister foe lurking in the shadows.

Liv has no real bond with her family. She has a gypsy soul and is always on the move. Her latest journey lands her in Chicago. She works for a new age shop and the employees are not what they seem. One night she is snatched off the streets she thinks for simply reading a romance novel about vampires which have been out to the public since the 70s. Turns out she’s in for so much more and is about to discover who she truly is.

Warin is an ancient one vampire. He controls the vamps of Chicago. His reign has been 1200 years of loneliness despite having his brother and second in command for the ride. You see 800 years ago Warin met his soulmate only to have her ripped from him and he’s been desolate ever since. It’s not until he finds himself in a cage with the enigmatic Liv that colors comes back to his life.

I liked Warin and Liv even if at times Liv made me want to strangle her. I know all she was doing was for the greater good but darn girl recognize a good thing. There union was a slow burn and I liked that about them. This book is full of skinwalkers, vampires and witches. Lot’s of action and embracing your true self. I can’t wait to read Alerics story!
