New Review! The Heron Prince (Demon Door #2) by Kim Alexander 5 Cranky Stars
The Heron Prince by Kim Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
5 Cranky Stars
This is the second book in The Demon Door series and is every bit as good as the first. The Demon Prince Rhuun is known as Moth in Mistra. He and Lelet have found that the bond with Lelet’s sister was broken. They are roaming the countryside while they learn about each other. For once, no one is trying to hurt Moth and Lelet seems to really care about him. They know they must return to the guardhouse and find Lelet’s sister Scilla but there is no hurry.
Eventually, they return to the Guardhouse to find Scilla. Through deceit and misunderstandings, Scilla sends Rhuun back to Eriis. She wants to go too but Lelet stops her just in time. Scilla has been tricked and manipulated by the Chancellor. When she finds out about the lies, she agrees to help Lelet get Rhuun back.
Back in Eriis, Rhuun is locked up and tortured. A rescue attempt is planned out by his best friend. Things don’t go quite as planned and Rhuun needs to return to Mistra before it is too late. With the Chancellor and Mages on his trail an underworld of supporters help hide him. I really can’t say much more without putting in spoilers. This is a nail biter that leaves one yearning for Book 3.
