5 Cranky Stars

A great read from beginning to end, packed full of action and suspense. Emily had decided to move back into her childhood home when her Aunt passed away. The house needed to be modernised, but to Emily it brought back so many wonderful memories of growing up staying with her Aunt and mother in this house. With the house came a Newfoundland dog, who Emily loved.

She was on her way back to the house driving her Aunts car when she found herself being bullied by another car, in the end the other car side swiped her pushing her over the barrier and rolling her car a few times. This was all witnessed by JD and Ryan traveling in the same direction. They has tried to video it but ended up being more aware that the car had been pushed off the road. They pulled over and ran down the embankment to the car, miraculously the driver (Emily) didn't seem to be too badly hurt. Somebody else had called the emergency services.

When they came and took Emily away all she could say was her dog needed to be looked after. Ryan told her he would look after the dog. He had taken the dog back to his house where there are a few funny incidents that go on. Both men visit her the next day to tell her that Ryan was looking after the dog. Ryan was drawn to Emily as she was to him, but nothing was ever voiced.

Emily had broken her leg and cuts over face from the windscreen when it shattered, she was released shortly after and Ryan picked her up and took her back to her house. While she was so incapacitated she decided to clear out her aunts writing desk, where she found several flash drives. With curiosity she loaded each one to the computer, most were manuscripts but the last one shocked Emily to the core. This one she shared with Ryan. This book is very well written and the characters are fantastic. The book is action packed.
