Between Dawn and Dusk: A Prequel (Between Dawn and Dusk Book 1)Between Dawn and Dusk: A Prequel by Jamie Schlosser
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Cranky Stars

Between Dawn and Dusk is the first book of this genre that Jamie Schlosser has written, and she did an awesome job. This book introduces us to Zella and Keryth one is a princess one is a king. Zella hails from the Day Realm a world full of sunlight and Keryth is from the Night Realm one full of dark skies and beautiful stars. They learn during a supply run when they were young that they are fated mates. It doesn’t go over well because both realms have a tentative truce at best each side claiming the other did them wrong. He spirits her away from the madness her father who is king to her realm and brings her home to his. It’s here they will face trials and accusations, but love is by far stronger than hate.

Ok this book was spicy too. I wasn’t expecting that but to drive the point home that fated mates intensely feel each others emotions and they are heightened this drove that home. They burned up the sheets but it’s more than that. It’s about love and sacrifice it’s about being stronger as a unit. I can’t wait to see what Kirians book will hold. I’m really excited for it. Between Dawn and Dusk is an excellent start to what should be an interesting new series!

“From dawn til dusk, from dusk til dawn, I’ll never love another.”
