Alven is a Wittewijven, a Dutch legend, that has been corrupted by anger and revenge. She was given a world of her own that has a connection to our world through a book. She uses this book to trap people and make them suffer. Only her descendants may protect the book, and lure people to her book. The oldest living relative who has possession of the book lures the rest of her family there so that the transfer of ownership can be made to the youngest daughter. But her family does not want to have ownership of this world nor do they want to be trapped within it, so they fight back and outsmart her.


This book has a lot of characters to keep up with, and Jordan Elizabeth does a very excellent job keeping it easy to follow without diminishing the strength of the story. All the characters are amazing and the love and bond between the family members is strong.
