New Review! The Reign of Silence (Heavy Lies the Crown #2) by D. Fischer 4 Cranky Stars

This book was pretty good. It loses you in some spots when it goes from one group or person to another group or person. It doesn’t flow as smoothly as it should. Still, I would recommend this book. I really want to read the next one.
Nefari, the “Queen” should be dead, but she is back in her homeland looking to take what is rightfully hers. She has many people on her side and helping her, even ones she thought to be dead. Then of course she has those who are trying to kill her, again, and those who betray and lie. Nefari has Kristal, her best friend, and Vale(her betrothed) with her this time. All are intertwined and have a purpose in this journey, even if one of them came from “the wrong side of the tracks” so to speak. Nefari and her friends get captured and must now face what is to come. Nefari learns more about herself every second. Her powers grow stronger every minute. Every time she gets angry her power is stronger. She has to remember who she is and where she comes from.
Will Nefari reclaim what is hers? Will Kristal become what is expected from her? Which direction will Kristal take? Nothing is truly as it seems here.
