My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Cranky Stars

I am giving this book a 4.5 star rating because it is better than the first book but there are still typo’s and poor sentence structures. At least this book has a plot that can be found clearly in chapter 1.

Andrea and Robert have rushed back to Valpariso only to find out that Robert’s dad has been in a car accident and shot while in NYC. They need to get there immediately, so Robert has the company jet readied. To make matters worse, Andrea’s dad calls to tell her that Site 21 has been burned to the ground. He is frantic as her car was parked there and it too was destroyed. She assures him that she is well and on her way to NYC.

This book starts with the perpetrators burning Site 21. We learn in detail what part of the motivation for “Him” is but who is his accomplice? Then we meet “Her”- a ruthless woman obsessed with ruining the lives of all these people. Just who is she and why is she doing this?

As Robert’s family converges on NYC, the tensions mount. To make matters worse, Andrea’s father insists that her place is back in Valpariso helping to sort out the mess their business is in. With the help of her friend, Sara, Andrea rushes back home. She doesn’t want to leave Robert so vulnerable but he won’t see reason and his attitude drives her away.

Everyone is pulling for Andrea and Robert to realize they love each other and are right for each other. It’s too bad that tragedy is the glue that fixes this relationship. Then, we learn who “Her” is and the plot takes a sudden deadly turn. Again, the book ends with a cliff hanger!
