New Review! Feather by Olivia Wildenstein 5 Cranky Stars

FeatherFeather by Olivia Wildenstein
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 CRANKY STARS

This is one of the better books I have read in a long time. I’m not super religious but I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. The main character is an angel named Leigh. She is working on obtaining the feathers for her wings so that she can ascend to Elysium. She wants to be a shepherd of souls. She must find souls that need reforming to earn the feathers. The higher number of points against the soul, the higher number of feathers she needs. When the story starts, she needs eighty-one feathers to ascend.

She’s not worried about it because she still has fourteen more months to get those feathers. Then fate deals her an unfair hand. One of the Seven Archangels shows up at their guild looking for a wife. With all of her ambition to make changes to their rules, plus his good looks, she must come up with a way to earn those feathers in just two weeks. She must save a soul that is considered a Triple and she will get one-hundred feathers. Afterall, she has never failed. Oh, if you break a rule (lie, etc.) you lose a feather.

Well, a Triple isn’t that easy, and this guy has been on the list for years. She is determined and now, we have a love story going on. Right from the time she first meets him, one can tell he has a heart. The story is hard to put down as we learn more about him. The whole relationship is loveable, and one finds themselves rooting for these two mismatched people. Rarely do I find a story that I want to rate higher than 5 but this is one.
