New Review! Scrying for Summer by Kathrine McIntyre 3.5 Cranky Stars

Scrying for SummerScrying for Summer by Katherine McIntyre
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.5 Cranky Stars

This was a book about Liams redemption back into the hunter society. Apparently a year has passed and I had to figure this out on my own. Once again there was no real time frame which made it harder to peg when the story actually happened.

Jev is a librarian in the stacks of the coven library. Besides her beauty and brains she's also a powerful enforcer. A witch with powerful spells she yearns for more excitement then studying dusty tomes all day.

Liam has already betrayed his family we learn to save his mother which is a very uncommon thing in the hunter community. You see hunters are just bred and the mothers go on with their lives and leave their children to be raised by their fathers. He's been trying to get back into the good graces of Conor, Brenna and everyone he wronged. He seeks out Jev for help in locating his friend Sam a djinn who's magic lamp is stolen. Together they set on a mythical journey on the streets of Philadelphia.

This book at times seemed to lag and scenes that went on for pages and pages could have been cut in half in my opinion. I'm all for letting the reader use their imagination. The sex scenes were better this time around and the chemisty between Jev and Liam was spicy. If you're looking for mythical beings and baddies galore then this is the book for you.
