Madelyn has always had vivid dreams of dragons. She thought it was a product of her overactive imagination and it carried into her real life. She was a historian who focused on dragons. Feeling adrift she heads to Moscow to continue her studies and look for answers. It's in this cold Russian city she stumbles upon a tome that will alter her views on reality.


Grigori is one the few left in his line. He keeps the families business going while ruling with a soft but firm heart. With a threat looming he wasn't expecting to meet the quiet bookworm named Madelyn. He's entranced by her the first time in his nearly 1000 years on earth.


This is my first book by Lauren Smith. It started slow but then it kind of picked up the pace toward the end. It was at times predictable and did oddly resemble another paranormal book but just in a minor detail. This is a good book if you are looking for something fast paced with some sexy times and lots of dedication and love.
