My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Love, murder, and good old fashioned sleuthing.

The last thing Sean McKinley needs is to be sucked into yet another case to solve. With so many pending cases and a haunted house he and his wife Sara are running for charity, how could they possibly have time for anything else? But then again, how can Sean say no to his wife... He can't.

Sean and Sara McKinley are millionaire sleuths whose love is reminiscent of old crime drama tv shows. Their love knows no bounds. While their sleuthing styles are very different, with Sean looking for proof and Sara going with her gut feelings, they use that to their advantage in solving numerous crimes that the police are unable to solve. So when Sara gets a feeling that the death of up and coming tv reporter Chloe Parsons is more than what it seems, Sean reluctantly agrees to the case even though there isn't much to go on. So without the help of the police department and a solid warning not to get in the department's way, Sean and Sara begin their sneaky sleuthing. That's when they discovery that Chloe's death was a jealousy fueled murder. With the crime solved, they can get back to focusing on their haunted house just in time for Halloween.

While this book seemed a little slow at the beginning, it certainly picked up toward the end. There were mild snags in the flow of the book but nothing that affected the overall story. The grammar was good, and it was a quick and easy read. The characters were interesting enough, and the story was well written. Being the 11th book in the series, it surprisingly did great as a stand alone
