New Review! Twin Savage by Sunniva Dee 5 Cranky Stars
Twin Savage by Sunniva Dee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
5 Cranky Stars
I was looking forward to the second book in this amazing new series . I wanted to see what other porn star Sunniva Dee could make me fall in love with and she didn’t let me down with Luka.
Geneva is an anthropology student. She lives in a run down frat home with 7 other guys. A home they lovingly call the Queen. It’s here she lives with her fiancé Julian. I wish I could say he was the love of her life but he certainly was one of her first loves. They were both going for their doctorate when tragedy struck. Now she has to stare at the face of his identical twin brother whom she despises for his current career choice. Geneva likes to study the grieving rituals of tribes in the Amazon and applies these practices to her own way of dealing with grief. She likes things to fit in her neat little boxes and is quick to judge.
Luka has deep dark secrets. He is a medical student well on his way to becoming the doctor he’s always dreamed of being. Sharing a house with others including his identical twin brother and his fiancé he pays his student loans in a unique way. Luka is a porn star and a good one at that. People marvel at his stamina. Luka is now swimming in grief but wants to help Geneva heal and achieve her dreams. He must put aside the one person he couldn’t save for someone he wants in his life for always.
I’m going to admit ninety percent of the time I despised Geneva. She was such a critical judgemental witch. She couldn’t see that what she was doing was the same thing she trashed Luka over. Her coping skills were deplorable but I guess they were her own way.
Lukas personality comes out in pieces. It’s not this sudden I love him type thing. You see he’s a good person and he has a lot of soul but come on he’s a porn star. This book touched on some nerves and feelings as I too have had a front seat to grief and someone trying to start over again. I think once again Sunniva Dee proved her books have heart and soul even if she approaches it in a different way. I mean come on a porn star teaching us about grief! I read this book from beginning to end in a matter of days. This is certainly a series to keep an eye on. I think I know who’s next.
