Okay, NOW we are getting to the good stuff! We learn much more about Austin and David and what makes their improbable relationship work. The backstory of each character is explored a bit more and for myself, I began to understand exactly why there is SO MUCH SEX. And for you erotica fans, don’t you worry, there is still A LOT OF SEX!!! The difference is that not only are the sexual parts of this book well-written, but they also show growth and development in the physical relationship between the 2. Again, not giving away any plot points, but this is CRUCIAL to understanding how these books all connect!


Playing for Love takes on a bit of a thriller feel, without losing its erotica street cred. You discover more about the characters and also their lives outside of the bedroom. While indeed the biggest tension in the novel IS sexual, there are outside forces that play into that tension.
