Trey was a love and leave them type of guy and Hillary had no confidence at all. They had been friends for many years and acted more like brother and sister relationship, where they wound each other up a lot.


After the death of Trey's Brother, which he blamed himself for, he joined the Navy. When his service was up he came back to town and even though they were still pushing each others buttons, they both could feel this attraction for each other. Hillary worked hard in her own bakery and Trey was a firefighter, he also loved woodwork which his grandfather had taught him when he was a young boy. Trey made furniture in his spare time.


The story revolves around the attraction they both have for each other and both trying to ignore it Hillary more than Trey.
