New Review! Havoc (Tattoos and Ties #1) by Kindle Alexander 4 Cranky Stars
Havoc by Kindle Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4 Cranky Stars
Keyes and Alec are a recipe for disaster. The lawyer who works for the DA and the biker with a repair shop who’s in a motorcycle club are doomed from the beginning. They find a way to manage a low-key relationship but Alec wants more and Keyes doesn’t think he is worth Alecs time.
Keyes is a member of The Disciples of Havoc. He runs the auto repair shop and generally just tries to keep himself out of trouble with the law. His father is a homophobe and Key feels he needs to take care of him despite the slurs. On a dark road one night he sees a car get a flat and what he finds sends his life into a tailspin. He meets Alec but when he finds out who he is he tries to back away. The heart wants what the heart wants and Key finds himself keeping company with Alec more and more.
Alec is a lawyer with so many aspirations, but his life is lived under his dads rule. His father is using his gay son to promote the gay rights agenda for his many campaigns despite not approving of his lifestyle and excluding him from many family functions unless it suits his needs. He starts to realize his life is lonely. His only best friend is a rich party boy. Out one night he catches a flat and meets Keyes. The sexy biker sends his life spiraling. He starts reevaluating his goals and who he wants in his life for the long run.
This book had some steamy moments. Moments that went on for several pages. I just wish we could have seen more of these two grow. I assumed there would be more drama but maybe that comes in book two. I like Alec and how in touch with his feelings he is. Keyes is an enigma to me and maybe that’s the point. This is my first Kindle Alexander book and I hope to read book two and get some much needed answers.
