New Review! The Executive by K.I. Lynn 4.5 Cranky Stars

The ExecutiveThe Executive by K.I. Lynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Cranky Stars

The Executive is steamy oh so steamy. I’m sure my kindle wanted to smoke a cigarette and have a sandwich. The chemistry between Lincoln and Ivy was off the charts. They gave as good as they took from each other. In the office and in the bedroom. They are a force. A king who wants to rule his empire with a queen at his side.

Ivy worked for the worst boss possible. He sexually harassed her and basically treated her like trash. The final straw came when another employee propositioned her. She set out for an interview with Dante Kilgore’s competitor Lincoln Davenport when she crashes into a man when she comes out the elevator and sparks fly. This is the man she learns she is interviewing with. With the position secured feelings develop but she tries to keep Lincoln at a distance. Finally, walls come down and they crash into each other and fireworks ignite. Little does she know while the feelings between the two are genuine she’s just a pawn in a much bigger game.

Lincoln is ruthless and hates Dante Kilgore with a fiery passion. They have a history that dates to college and Lincolns sister London. When he hires Ivy Prescott on paper, she’s the perfect assistant but she has a link to his enemy. She starts off as collateral damage then becomes someone he wants to protect at all cost even if it means her hating him. She challenges him and doesn’t back down to his demands. Which let’s be honest are very strict. He realizes he wants Ivy to be the queen ruling his empire by his side. He just hopes they don’t crash and burn before they have a chance to really take off.

I like that Ivy and Lincoln had a common thread. I understood the need for revenge but man the damage was brutal. It took me a bit to like Lincoln he is the true definition of alpha male. If that bothers you then maybe this book isn’t for you. Yet Ivy wasn’t a withering flower taking his bull either. She went toe to toe with the beast. This book has so much naughty times but it also has an air of mystery and love sweet love. I was glad I took a chance on this book and glad I got the chance to read it. I love Ivy and Lincoln.
