Remi is a publicist, she worked very hard and clawed her way to be where she is now. That was all at the cost of her relationship with Alistair. He felt he came second to her work. 12 years have passed since they broke up and still Remi is focused on her work. She was given the job of getting a musician from being a recluse to getting him out in the pubic eye for a chance to go on tour. The recluse was none other than her ex Alistair living in the back of beyond.
After a shaky start Remi gets Alistair to do a music video shot by a local girl, which she releases at her birthday party. Remi is suddenly backed into a corner by her partners and she has no choice but to start reevaluating her life choices. There is still a connection between Remi and Alistair, but this time the roles have been reversed. Will a relationship survive the absences from Alistair being on tour? A very relaxing read which flowed nicely.
