New Review! His Everything (Everything and Always #1) by Mia Echo 5 Cranky Stars

His Everything (Everything and Always, #1)His Everything by Mia Echo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Cranky stars

This book is based on military characters. Lia lived with her father and brother and many military uncles in a town that they had all bought the properties so they basically owned the town. They had made this town a safe haven for people in trouble e.g. homeless, partners from abusive relationships etc. The town had incredible security system around it so that the residents were safe.

Lia was allowed in the end to go out and experience life outside of the compound. Within a few weeks of being out and boarding with her best friend, she had met Maddox, another military man. They fell for each other very quickly and deeply, Lia was like Maddox's saviour as he was in a very bad place when coming back from his last deployment. When he met Lia, he knew she was the one for him. She pulled him out of his drunken stupor and his nightmares lessened. Within weeks she had moved in with him and he had asked her to marry him. She knew her father would not be very happy but each time she tried to go home for the traditional family meal, her father had cancelled and said it wasn't safe. He had saved a woman and her daughter from her very abusive husband. Said husband could not be found as he had gone to ground. He was wanting to hurt Mack (Lia's father) and take something of his as he had taken his wife and daughter.

There is a lot more to this book and is a recommended read.
