New Review! Working Back (Cook Brothers #3) by BJ Harvey 4.5 Cranky Stars

Working Back (Cook Brothers #3)Working Back by B.J. Harvey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Cranky Stars

Working Back was different from the others yet still was the same. Does that make sense? Bryant and Faith are so different in their actions, yet this book still had the same amount of love and devotion that the other Cook brothers and their ladies have. I mean how often do you meet your soul mate at eight years old. These two have and even with distance and different paths they never stopped loving each other.

Bryant the fun twin to Jax has always loved Faith Baker. They went from best friends at 8 to lovers in their teenage years. They had their lives planned out and were on the track to make those dreams a reality until one day they didn’t. Bryant is set to make tenure at the local college and has a hand in the brothers reno business. He has dated but no one will hold a candle to Faith. When he learns that she is back in town he gives her a proposal. Marry him to prove she is here to stay. Faith Baker has always loved Bryant Cook. She knew she was always destined to be his, but she ran scared. She needed to find herself outside the Bryant and Faith show. She flies off to pursue a degree in Zoology and is doing good for herself. When she hears of Jaime and April’s wedding, she knows this is her chance to win the love of her life back. Yet she isn’t prepared for Bryant and his proposal. What happens next to Bryant and Faith is a story of love and facing the past and building a future.

I loved these two. They were just so cute, and you couldn’t help but cheer them on. Love might not happen for everybody and it might not wait for you to come back around but what these two have is rare. You might say it’s a love only found in books! I loved that we got to see everyone from books past. Mama Cook is a trip! I would love to know her in real life. She’s so candid. This book was just full of aww shucks moments and laughs. I’ll say it again though I’m not so patiently waiting for Cohens’ story. I knew from the jump he would be the one I want a story from.
