Ashton Morgan: Apartment 17B (Wreck Me, #1)Ashton Morgan: Apartment 17B by Aly Stiles

4.5 Cranky Stars

“If that’s true, then I’m stepping into the fire with you.” It’s amazing how Aly Stiles can convey so much emotion in such a simple sentence. You wanted to jump into that fire with them. Iris and Ash hope and debris that’s what these two are. Two wildly different souls who found each other in the oddest of circumstances. A man forced to care for his family because his mom can’t parent to save her life and a girl from a harsh beginning who was given a random chance in life and became the daughter to a billionaire.

Ashton was so close to college graduation, but his useless mother got them into trouble and to keep his baby brother Braydon with food and a roof over his head he goes into the mode of the parent. He is working as many jobs as he can to make up for her negligence. A chance encounter with a beautiful girl at one of his jobs sets his life on a different path. When he finds out who she is he knows that he shouldn’t tangle with her. His life is different from his and they can never merge. Iris felt an instant spark with Ashton. She didn’t care he had a different life from her she saw him for so much more. Slowly she inserts herself into his life. She gives him strength and he shows her that maybe her intended path isn’t what she wanted to do after all. Things don’t come easy and It’s fight between the two till the very end.

I just love Aly Stiles. She can take a well-used troupe and make it her own. She inserts real life situations and weaves them with such heart wrenching heartfelt words. You honestly feel Ashtons struggle to make ends meet yet how he keeps hope alive for Brayden. Iris isn’t your typical rich girl she has giant heart. Her sister on the other hand is trash hated her. She can kick rocks right along with Ashtons mom. Iris’s dad is a hero. I loved this book and couldn’t put it down. It kept me hanging on till that glorious ending.
