New Review! Gluttony (The Elite Seven #5) by K Webster 5 Cranky Stars

Gluttony (The Elite Seven, #5)Gluttony by K. Webster
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Cranky Stars

Everyone worshiped God. Women lined up to get on their knees for God. God lived a life of excess with wealth beyond what anyone could imagine. God tossed his toys aside when he got bored. God was obsessive and didn’t know when to stop. I’m not talking about the almighty God above I’m talking about Baxter Samuel Goddard the fifth AKA God.

Money is no object for God. He is untouchable and he’s lived his life that way. Parties every night and booze and drugs flowing like water. He didn’t want to be anyone else. When he is chosen to join The Elite, he is given the sin of Gluttony. He isn’t too thrilled about the idea because the one thing he tries is to not be like his father. A 400-pound man who is vile and disgusting. When he is given his task, he sets off to do it and get it over with little does he know his life is going to change. When he locks eyes on Zemira he’s not sure if it will be for the last time. Zemira is a girl trying to just get by. Between her schooling and jobs, she’s barely staying afloat. When her life collides with Gods her path is altered and she’s not sure what she’s doing anymore and what is the right decision.

This book had some cringe worthy moments. Four (Gods Father) being one of them. Dude just grossed me out with the way he ate. Also, there is one brutal scene that had me freaked. Just read it and you’ll see why.

It’s that K Webster style we all love. We learn a lot about God that what we see on the surface isn’t who he really is deep down. He has real issues. Some people might not like Zemira considering what happened and her decision to stay with God. I liked her she was very real. They saw something in each other that couldn’t be helped. Lillian well you know how I feel about you! I’m so ready for Sloth. He is an enigma!!
