New Review! The Mercenary's Daughter by Joe Gazzam and Jessica Therrien

The Mercenary's DaughterThe Mercenary's Daughter by Joe Gazzam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 cranky stars

This has been the best read of the year so far. Excellent writing very descriptive you can actually see in your own mind exactly what they want you to see.

It starts off with the teenage delinquent daughter in and out of trouble Tara. In the end she joined the Marines, 3 years and doing well moving to special ops until she was dishonorable discharged which wasn't her fault but she knew nobody would believe her.

She tells the story of how her father disappeared on a 'work problem' on their first meal together. Mitch was her younger brother but he could not forgive Tara for never writing in 3 years they had already been deserted by their mother. They had been building an office in the garden when their father's girlfriend came out and told them some news. Mitch took it bad and started smashing the inner walls of the office only to find lots of wiring and mechanics.

When they had finished tracing it they found a dug out type basement the truth came out about their father. They started on a rescue mission the nerdy boy and the loose-cannon girl. This book drags you in from the first page. There is so much action packed into this book it's unreal. A recommended read.
