The army and the very corrupt Senator Horan have found out where Clark is and the Treasure family, instead of handing him over align themselves with him and they are all on the run! The search for Clark's father's inventions are temporarily put on hold.



Amethyst has grown a lot since book 1 but is still a feisty do first think later type. While a prisoner of Senator Horan Amethyst discovers vials of the potion that gave Clark his ability and decides to drink one and she develops the same abilities but because of her nature, embraces her ability more fully.



The story takes off where book 1 ended and if possible was even more exciting and adventurous with non stop action. All the ingredients for an exciting read are present, love, loyalty, betrayal a rotten government, futuristic inventions........



I found myself just falling more in love with the characters and the imagination of this extraordinary author and as such no surprise that I again award 5 stars to this enticing read.
