Sky has abandonment issues that stem from her dad leaving. She feels every man will leave her so she lives in a bubble. Closed off from men in general she mainly works and hangs out with her friends. On a whim she signs up on a dating site and meets Ben.


Ben has known loss and he will always remember a girl from a field trip who he only met once but she made an impact on his life. He is fresh off from a failed relationship and he isn't looking to meet someone to make his wife. He messages Sky and they carry on a lengthy text relationship before taking the next step.


Under the cherry blossoms is a very aww shucks yet steamy read. The mouth on Ben is naughty naughty but oh so nice. You find yourself relating to Sky and her issues. For a debut novel this one is aces. It's a sweet kind of quick read and you find yourself rooting for these two. This book has some nice twists and a beautiful epilogue to wrap it all up in a pretty bow. Amali Rose is a debut author to watch out for.
