Brea has witnessed heart break first hand with her parents. She’s still struggling to forgive and forget but the damage has made a lasting impact on her heart. Dating a guy who is all wrong for her while telling her secrets to her best friend Mason. When their feelings come to light they embark on a journey of love and complete misunderstanding.


Mason loses himself in the flavor of the week. It’s how he copes with being in love with his best friend. He is trying to mend fences between his brother Callum and their father while working and attending school. When him and Brea decide to finally acknowledge their growing feelings things get a little wonky.


I liked getting a little more insight into Mason seeing that we only got glimpses of him in the first book. He wasn’t who I thought he’d be that’s for sure. Brea was very oblivious to a lot of things going on around her. At times I felt the story kind of retold scenes based on how the dual POV was done. All in all it was a sweet book with some angst and some steamy scenes.
