What do you do when you have an evil tyrant as a prince, a woman determined to rule a kingdom, and lots of secrets and deceit? You follow your heart and heritage and save those who need saving the most of course! Embracing her dragon slayer roots, Evelyn intends to save the kingdom by going after a dangerous dragon. This proves difficult because the prince has her under close watch. How will she save the kingdom from dragons and its own prince while staying alive? Who will she join forces with to achieve her goals? Will she slay the dragon and stop the entire hoard of dragons from awakening and destroying everything and everyone in their path while dealing with everything else?
Yet again, I loved this book. This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Simone Pond is definitely a name to look for. This is the second book in the series, and it DID NOT disappoint. The unexpected twists and turns combined with all of the near death action made it hard to put down. The story flowed from beginning to end and the characters are so well written that they feel like real people who you meet on the street. The historical aspects are amazingly done with great detail. On to book 3!
