Mia has always loved Logan. She plans this whole life in her head and that is the driving force behind all her decisions. Then one day she loses touch with her brother and Logan and her life spirals. She abandons her schooling and moves to New York with her friend Josie in tow not too far behind. It’s here she learns people aren’t who she thinks they are. While she’s reuniting with the Screw Crew other relationships are taking a violent turn. She turns to the one man who has always owned her heart no matter where she finds herself.
Logan is in love with Mia. She was the girl who stole his heart but he wasn’t sure that she felt the same as him. Now a successful attorney working with the rest of the Screw Crew his life is good but when he notices a discrepancy in the bank ledgers he learns Mia may not be living her life the way it was intended. When he finally locks eyes on the much older Mia it’s like he never had time apart from her. He vows to save her from the looming violence while he loves her.
Michelle Horst made me cry dang it!! I mean the love between Mia and Logan was beautiful but that’s not what made me cry. Just read the book. The story flowed well and didn’t feel rushed even though a lot happens in the story. I knew the back stabbing was important to the story and reveled when it was to propel the story but I kind of wish it would have been drug out. I love how she used a curvy woman for her lead. We see so many books of girls being model perfect and Mia is perfect with her curves and loving heart. I can’t wait for the next story in the series
