This first book was action packed from the beginning. The main character, Ice, is training to be a Medicine Man. Ice was starting out on a spiritual journey when he was visited by a spirit. This spirit is a revenge type and Ice knew it. So Ice did what he could to get away from it. This spirit though found what it needed to stay and the story starts rolling even more. Ice and his mentor started investigating and looking for this spirit.


The spirit found its body to help keep it alive and going to do what it was called to do. The person that called for the spirit did not realize he had done so. Once it was revealed, the person tried to take out the spirit and make things right. The ending of this book sets up nicely for the second book.


The characters worked well together. The emotions were felt through the reading. The anticipation of not knowing what happens next was there too. This first book was good. Now to start the next one.
