AGAIN: WARNING. THIS SERIES IS NOT FOR YOU IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SEXY LOVE STORY.
Deviants, in many ways for me, is actually better than the first book, Savages. ALOT of questions that were raised in the first book get answered. And you get more questions to replace them! What I love about this series is that are plots within plots, hidden motivations and just a raw honesty from the characters about who they are.
Devil incarnate? Check. Violence-induced sex? Check. Blind worship? Check. But you also get tenderness and love from the most unlikely characters.
Deviants takes us deeper into the world of the Savages and the Badlands and uncovers the deadly quest for power being waged in post-apocalyptic 'Merica. Along the way, we not only get more invested in the characters but we also start to see that what things appear to be are not really all they appear to be.
The writing is excellent with the author giving us what we need just when we need it. There is no gratuitous sex here. It is ALL warranted, justified AND provoked!!
Altogether an enjoyable read!! Great series so far!
