New Review! The First Lights by Christy Pastore 4 Cranky Stars

The First LightsThe First Lights by Christy Pastore
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 Cranky Stars

Wyatt is a pro football player who has it all when one night of tragedy takes it all away. He loses his family and quits pro ball. He moves to a small town to coach high school football, away from the spot light, where he meets Hannah.

She is the mother of one of his students, she too has lost most of her family and found herself a single mother in need of a fresh start. Wyatt and Hannah mix like oil and water at first, till they learn they have similar pasts. They work to overcome their own tragedies and the ethics of dating the parent of one of your students.

The characters are relatable, conversations are well written, I can understand where they are all coming from. There were moments I cried, moments I laughed, and moments of happiness. Sometime life is tragic, but you can find happiness again.
