My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Cranky Stars

Not quite as many errors but still not clear. This is Book 2 in the Seraphina Series. One really needs to read these books in order to understand each character’s importance. Nate became corporal and has met and fallen in love with her. He is no longer her guardian angel but a trainer and protector. Sera’s dreams are worse, and we find out that Jack sees Spirits. What is unknown is whether Jack is good or bad. He loves Sera too. Sera is very attracted to him and considers him her best friend, but she can’t make him understand that. Now Nate wants Sera to move in with him for her safety and she is torn.

She doesn’t want to leave her parents, she doesn’t want anyone to be harmed but the demons keep coming for her. She never should have gone to Chaos. What are these powers that Nate keeps telling her she has inside? She is just human after all, isn’t she? Finally, she decides it would be safer for everyone if she moves in with Nate. He needs to train her to control and use her powers. She could be so much stronger than she thinks. Force field type shields get easier and easier. The power of fire grows. She can push demons and others away and destroy with a wave of her hand. Who knows what else? Everyday is a new discovery.

Meanwhile, Lucifer is trying to turn her to his side. He contacts her directly and she turns him down. How will she ever stay good? She doesn’t want any of this. Jack has seen too much of her with Nate and is sulking and makes a life altering decision. He asks his spirits to get Lucifer so that he, Jack can get Sera back. He feels that Sera is his and not Nate’s. The battle for good and evil is heating up. Stay tuned for Book 3.
