I was looking forward to this book as I enjoyed the first book, but I was disappointed.


It is set in the same compound run by the military friends. Only this time it is Maddox's brother Max who fell in love 3 years previous with Harlow, a daughter of a different man in the compound. They were very happy and it was moving fast, until she got scared of the repercussions that will happen when her over protective father found out. Sound familiar?


I actually at the beginning thought I was reading the same story!! After reading on, it does get different as when she went home without telling anyone about her romance she was heartbroken and then to find out she was pregnant. The wrath of her father was as much as she could take and would never give up the baby's father. 3 years had gone by and her sister who knew everything could see beyond Harlow's smiles and decided to do something about it. Max also had been heartbroken for the last 3 years and only his sister knew the reason. Well things take a turn and the proverbial mess hits the fan as expected. Like the other book there is a different sub plot towards the end.
