5 CRANKY STARS

This is a very strange story, but I love strange. Paranormal is also something I love so the mixture is perfect. If you don’t like things that go bump in the night, this story is not for you. I did find it a little confusing in spots, but I think that’s because I read too fast. I simple reread the trouble areas and figured it out.

This story is about Galatea and Cyprus. A set of twins who work together as private investigators. It opens with them moving into a new bigger office. As they are packing, a man appears in their office looking to hire them. It seems that his daughter, Rebecca died a month earlier in Shreveport, LA under suspicious circumstances. He wants them to investigate it. Dr Prosper is sure there is no way his daughter could have had a heart attack.

The twins decide to take the case and start to investigate. Meanwhile, in their personal lives, strange things start happening. First, Galatea almost gets mugged but is able to bluff her way out (she is a former police officer). Then her gay brother hooks up with a strange, but handsome older man at a bar and his life takes a strange turn. The next night, Galatea is sitting on her porch when she meets a strange handsome older man that she can’t resist. Meanwhile, she and her brother are having explicit sex dreams about their new men.

When they get the info on Rebecca Prosper’s cause of death, things get stranger and stranger. Who are these strange new men they are involved with and what does he have to do with Rebecca Prosper? There is a real nail biting ending. Can’t wait to read book 2.
