3.5 Cranky Stars
Robyns life is getting stranger and stranger and to make it worse her mother has decided to home school her to limit her interaction with the boy she deems not good enough. That’s like a death sentence for a 16-year-old girl right? Sadly her home life is more deadly than seeing Jayden. She starts to see more and more of what her parents and her brother are and notices other parents are kind of strange as well. Together with her friends they try to save a local girl from being killed. She discovers that her friends harbor powers as well that they had no clue about. Can things get any worse?
This book was slightly better than book one. We get answers to lots of questions like what is Jazmyn and why is she in this town. I also want to gag with her mom and those odd smoothie concoctions like beets and asparagus. Also what happened to tarantula dude? Did we just forget about him?
Just once again it was hard to keep track of the story. I’m sure there is a term for a book in first person then suddenly jumps to third but it made it harder to keep track of who was talking to me. I just think there is potential to be a great story and maybe these are books that get better as they go along.
