New Review! The Gryphon's Revenge (Beasts of Atonement MC Series #1) by Diana Marie Dubois 5 Cranky Stars

The Gryphon's Revenge (Beasts of Atonement MC Book 1)The Gryphon's Revenge by Diana Marie DuBois
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Cranky Stars

The Gryphons Revenge took Greek Mythology and mashed it with the MC culture. Think like Sons of Anarchy but with Gryphons and other assorted mythical beings. Yes, they ride Harleys and wear cuts but they are protecting the citizens from harm with their own brand of justice.

Elek is a gryphon but not just that he is also a demi god with amazing gifts bestowed upon him. His whole life has been to find his kidnapped sister and seek revenge on the woman who captured her. You see Eleks life with the Gods isn’t what we’ve read about. He asks to start a MC to protect the people of the world and when he is granted that permission he starts to seek out soldiers to help his cause. When he is sent to New Orleans by his parents to distract him from his centuries old vendetta he didn’t think he would meet his mate. A beautiful blue haired beauty who is busking on the corner. Her voice calls to him like a sirens song.

Lyric has always been misunderstood. She has rebelled every chance she got against her parents who wanted a certain life for her. Her twin sister Jurnee fell in line with that but not Lyric she wants so much more. Every day she stands on her favorite street corner and plays for the tourists and the citizens of Nola. When she catches a glimpse of a stunning man staring at her she stumbles but continues it’s not until this man shows up at her favorite haunt that she realizes her life is about to change. Strange dreams start to haunt her. Lyric is hunted by an unseen entity and only Elek can save her.

It took me a minute to get into the swing of this book. Seeing as I jumped from contemporary romance to this genre. I devoured this book in a matter of hours. It had all the elements you wanted in a paranormal romance set in the city of my birth. I love a story set in New Orleans.

I admired Lyrics need to be herself and not sway from that. Can I also say that I love she had the shortest spunkiest hair? It’s not often we get recognized in books! Elek was yummy that man had a way with words. He was an alpha male but not in the overbearing way. I loved each key player in this book. It was an MC with a twist which was refreshing to see. I think I’ll go scoop up more of Ms. Dubois works. She puts a refreshing twist on a very common genre.
