4 Cranky Stars

Braelynn’s life changed after a tragic accident left her with lifelong trauma. They said she was lucky to be alive but she is barely living. She immerses herself in her new business Thicket and is just existing. She doesn’t think she will ever be in another relationship and has no plans to. Why would anyone want a neurotic broken girl? When a kid streaks past her in her store she has no idea this tyke is going to change her life. If only his dad wasn’t such a surly rude jerk. He picks fights with her and she gives back unless he hits on her sensitive topics then its back to her shell. Slowly but surely she starts to chip at his walls and maybe he isn’t so bad underneath.

Brance’s only concern is Oliver James his son and making partner. He has no time or no need for romantic entanglements. The women in his past prove all women are after one thing and they are out to manipulate you as well. No thank you. So when Ollie becomes obsessed with Thicket and Braelyn he knows this will lead to nothing but trouble. He cuts her down at every turn he basically pulls out all his tricks and still there she is. He can’t sway Ollie away from her so he strikes up a deal. One that will maybe make him see falling in love isn’t so bad.

Ok I hated Brance. There I said it! He got pretty good there about halfway then back to jerk ways. He had redeemable qualities but seriously almost too alpha for me. I did love Braelyn though poor girl had been through a lot she thought she had nothing to give but her relationship with Ollie proved otherwise. She was a nurturer and why should that be taken away from her. Ask Me Why is full of proving you are worthy of love you just need the right key, cute kiddo shenanigans and some really steamy scenes. It’s a little bit of everything if you can get past the ogre that is Brance.
