My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Cranky Stars

Alright ok I thought I was getting one kind of book until the halfway point and things went another direction. In my defense I haven’t read the others before this, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I thought it was going to be a typical fake date but with an escort and it turned into so much more. I love when the forever bachelor falls, and the nerdy girl sees herself as a beauty. Paradise and Vodka was just that and I can’t wait to read about the couples before Nick and Ashleigh.

Ashleigh thought things were going great and she even took her fancy schmancy Manhattan boyfriend to meet her small-town Alabama parents until things went really wrong. Fast forward a few years and Ashleigh needs a wedding date to Fiji. Her friend suggest an escort and she thinks this idea is ludacris. She finally realizes she won’t find a date in time and hires Nick. Nick is the tatted up bad boy or so he appears. He is good at his job and commits to giving his clients the full experience. He wasn’t expecting Ashleigh, but her smile and her banging body knocked him off his feet. He refuses to be like the others before him who have fallen in love but under the Fijian moonlight, he starts to see her in differently. When the ending of their tropical week comes to an end something neither of them expect happens and I’m not talking about falling in love.

I was kind of on the fence with this book until about fifty percent. I thought maybe it was a naughty romantic comedy and it was ok for me but then the second half had me hooked. Don’t get me wrong Nick has a dirty mouth because well it’s just who he is but under all that he’s a genuine guy. Ashleigh was hard on herself, but I guess we all would if our twin was a beauty pageant queen. She was a normal girl and I liked that about her. I’m off to catch up with the other couples in this series. While it can be read as a standalone you will get spoilers of past couples but not like it will ruin their books spoilers. Enjoy!!
