Hosed by Pippa Grant
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4.5 Cranky Stars
It started with a lube fire at the adult toy factory next came a racoon named George Cooney (genius use of the name BTW) and then there was understanding. Also, sexy times and love sweet love.
Cassie had a life back in San Francisco. She was part of a group of game coders. Her life was gaming and she took pride that she was nerd. When her sister calls with an emergency from Happy Cat, Georgia she runs back home to salvage her sister’s life while she flees to Europe. It’s here that Cassie learns she has to run the town adult toy factory. She’s very shy about sex since in her words she’s the oldest living virgin. When a wayward racoon brings Ryan to her yard she is livid and can’t believe he doesn’t remember what he did to her in high school many years ago. Slowly but surely, they come to an understanding then that’s when the sparks fly unless George Cooney falls from a fan well then that puts a damper on things. Her life isn’t all adult toys and falling in love someone is out to trash Sunshine Toys name and frame her and her sister for it. She needs everyone in her corner to overcome this mess.
Ryan will always be a protector. It’s his instinct so it’s only natural he’s a fireman. His life is good sheltered but good. He has dreams of seeing the world but can’t imagine leaving his family and George behind. When a commotion next door at his neighbor’s house brings him face to face with his greatest regret he realizes this is his chance. Now if only he can remember what he did to make Cassie hate him. He works his way into her heart and explains what happened in the past. They forge a bond especially when half the town is divided about having Sunshine Toys in town and someone is trying to frame Cassie for it.
I laughed out loud for a good portion of this book. I mean come on dildo football In town square? Bikes with dilido handlebars? My inner 14 year old boy was dying laughing. I like that Cassie was a nerd and proud. No hiding behind her glasses or books or in her case her games. Granted she wasn’t miss social butterfly neither and with that I could relate to her. Ryan is the ultimate book boyfriend. My list is growing by leaps and bounds at this point. He was just good and sexy and had a trash panda. George Cooney you stole the show and some questionable items from trash cans. I really enjoyed this book and I wonder if we will see more of the O’Dell brothers in future books. Please??
