Lucy was the younger sister of Kyle and as a teenager had a big crush on his best mate Connor. As an adult she has just come out of a three year relationship with Lou. She thought he was safe and reliable and wouldn't break her heart like her father had done to her mother. When she was upset or anxious she baked a lot. She ran a food blog where she tried out unusual combinations of ingredients. She had agreed to help out Connor and have him stay as a room mate. The morning of Connor moving in she was busy in the kitchen, she hadn't seen him for many years and he had changed a lot. Even more handsome and a super physique.


She acted a bit hostile towards him to begin with, but then they made a bet to see who was best at getting over a break-up as he also had broken up with someone. Poor Lucy gets herself into some predicaments and always backed away. She could not let herself fall for Connor, he would not want her, he was a playboy!!! Would Connor be the exception to this rule? I found this book humorous in places and it flowed nicely.
