Phew my kindle is smoking from the chemistry between Breaker and the Bowman’s daughter. They are destined to be and what a wild ride on the back of a Harley it is.
Damon “Breaker La Rue has always carried a torch for Liv since he escorted her to her senior prom then stole her heart then in the same breath broke it. Now ten years later he’s still part of the Baum Squad but has secrets. Mainly the secret of his dad’s debt looming over his head. Now with a death the debt transferred over to him and puts Liv in his sights. He’s in a fight for his life and his heart when it comes to this girl. Liv grew up with Damon she openly hated him but secretly crushed on him. She thought maybe their time was now at senior prom then it went all to hell and back. Now she runs an art event space and is just trying to make her dreams a reality. When a death rocks her world, she finds herself turning to Damon. What is supposed to be a one-night stand and a final goodbye turns into so much more. Now she is in the thick of the mess Damon is in and against her better judgement she falls hard once again. Now it’s a race against time to make sure they have a future to look forward to.
Oh sweet pretty Damon La Rue you heartbreaking womanizer. He just played his part it seemed. While yeah the chicks were something he did love he carried that torch for Liv for a long time. They were explosive. I admired how he wanted to be an adult and try to solve this issue on his own without dragging the squad into it. Liv I give her points for trying to hard to stay away. She knew what she wanted but the heart wants what the heart wants. My only thing I felt is left hanging is where is Knuckles? I kind of felt like we glossed over that and focused mainly on these two. Maybe it’s just me and it’s not relative to the story or maybe it will show up later. All in all a pretty good second book in a steamy love filled MC novel.
